Clearwater County Hazard Mitigation Planning
Clearwater County has been working with Headwaters Regional Development Commission to update Clearwater County’s “Hazard Mitigation Plan.” Hazard mitigation plans help communities identify what they can do to lessen the impacts of hazards, like flooding and wildfires, by avoiding them or reducing the amount of damage they cause. Typical activities include building tornado safe rooms or raising frequently flooded homes.
We Need Your Input
The planning process began in March of 2012 and just recently wrapped up. We engaged county, county officials, city staff, other agencies, and local residents. The public was invited to participate in a survey and attend an open house this summer. Please find a link to this plan, below. We would like to hear from you about this plan. Tell us if you like the plan, think something needs to be changed, or if you don’t like the plan at all. Email your comments and remarks to Marcus Grubbs at Headwaters RDC at mgrubbs@hrdc.org, or call 218.333.6533.
Thank you for taking the time to review this plan.
